It’s finally here!
The battle for the SEC Championship!
Coming out of the West….
Alabama
Alabama comes into Atlanta a little nicked up after a hard fought 26-21 win over Auburn last week in the Iron Bowl. Their main horse, Mark Ingram, is a little beat up, but is expected to play.
Coming out of the East….
Florida
Florida comes into Atlanta all fat and happy after having a Tim Tebow love fest last week in Gainesville, where they dismantled a pitiful FL State football team 37-10.
All the professionals & TV commentators really don’t think Alabama has much of a chance! So I guess the best advice for Alabama fans is….
Either you can show up and play the game and see what happens or stay home!!!
So let the battle begin….
Ok America, the game started out with Alabama getting the ball to start with and they surprised everybody by coming out in a spread offense, which anyone who follows Bama knows that is not Alabama football…..
That is Florida Gator offense!!
And surprisingly Florida’s defense was lost. Alabama basically dominated the Gators the whole first half. Now don’t get me wrong, they didn’t run the spread the whole half, just at certain spots. Greg McElroy came out with all the pressure to perform and boy did he! He pretty much put his self as a winner in the Alabama books! His stats for today were 239 passing and 1TD. Now don’t get me wrong, these are not impressive numbers, it’s just the way he controlled the offense and moved the ball. But of course, he was able to get the ball to Marquis Mays, Julio Jones and of the one TD pass to Colin Peek.
Now let’s talk about Mr.. Mark Ingram…
All but dead in the Heisman race, he came out and put on a Heisman Trophy performance! His total offense of output was 189yds and 3 TD. Need I say more!!!
Now to the defense….
Rolando McClain & Alabama knocked Tebow & the Gators around from the start to the end. I guess they’re not used to this.
And to pour more salt into the wound, Arenas picked off a pass in the end zone to stop a Florida drive late in the 3rd quarter! So over all, Alabama put on an SEC Championship performance!
Now I guess you are wondering why I haven’t said too much about Florida…..
Well Mr. Tebow, the God figure in Gainesville did pretty much nothing…
Oh yeah…except cry!
In closing…
I want to congratulate Alabama on a great season and now all the commentators & so called professionals can kiss my @ss because all I have heard was how Florida was going to win the game. I personally think they should give their paychecks back!!!
